Hello and happy Friday! I played along with the Free 4 All challenge on SCS today, to make a card inspired by a musical, and also do any size other than A2. My card was inspired by my favorite song ("Do Re Mi") from the musical, The Sound of Music. I used images from Sending Sunshine and made a 4.25 by 4.25 card.
I colored the deer with Copics, starting with E51 all over, leaving just a few areas un-colored for highlights.
Added E31.
Added E35 and then used my colorless blender to make some light spots on the back.
I used N5 on the hooves and nose, then N3 to blend up a ways from the nose.
I stamped and cut out a mask of the deer, then adhered it over the deer I colored, using re-positionable tape. Then I sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink.
Sponged a little Memento Desert Sand below the deer.
With the mask still in place, I stamped the lavender. I inked up the stamp using Memento Markers, Grape Jelly and Bamboo Leaves.
I stamped the flowers a second time, re-inking with the markers again, this time keeping most of the image off the paper and letting just a few flowers extend onto the cardstock. Then I removed the mask.
I layered with Pure Luxury Vibrant Violet and SU Creamy Caramel. The cardbase is Pure Luxury Sweet Corn and the scallop piece, made with my scallop rectangle Nestabilities, is Pure Luxury Lovely Lavender.
Thanks for visiting. For all of you vacationing and spending spring break with your kids, I hope you have a wonderful time! Have a happy day!!!

Oh Theresa! This is fabulous! I love the colors you chose...that orchid is great with the soft yellow! Great images, too!
This is precious, Theresa. I had a plan to do sorta the same thing, but I was going to try and nestle him in the cattails. I like your idea better!
