Hello! I hope you are having a great start to your weekend. Today I am sponsoring the CAS-ual Fridays challenge blog. I made this simple little number using images from Whimsical Wishes. Sorry I didn't get a tutorial made for this card.
Here is the sketch if you want to play along. Sometimes CAS sketches can be challenging for me, but once I got going on this it was a lot of fun. I hope you get a chance to play, too.
Here is the prize that is up for grabs, three stamp sets, Vogue Vases, The Giving Tree and Dino-mite, from Gina K Designs. So head on over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog and play along, too!
Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Garden Fresh and Whimsical Wishes Inspiration Hop
Hello! Today the Gina K Design Team have more inspiration with two more new stamp sets to share with you. First up is a set from Gina K Designs called Garden Fresh. I love the adorable images in this set. So many fun possibilities!
I stamped the water melon twice. I inked it up with Memento Pear Tart and rock-n-rolled Bamboo Leaves around the outer part of the rind. Then I used a black Memento Marker to ink up the seeds and straight edge. I colored the inside with Copic markers then then cut it out. I cut one of the images into three slices and inked up the cut edges with my black Memento marker. The background is sponged with Memento New Sprout, Bamboo Leaves and Angel Pink. the card base is Pure Luxury Passionate Pink. I added dots with a Sakura black glaze pen.
Next up is a card with the set I illustrated, Whimsical Wishes. More details on this card below, but first be sure to check out all the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the design team...
To make the background I sponged Memento Desert Sand ink on Pure Luxury White cardstock.
Then I sponged Memento Rich Cocoa.
Then I sponged Memento Potter's Clay to warm it up a bit.
I stamped the silhouette branches with Memento Potter's Clay, stamping off on scratch paper to make them lighter.
Then I stamped them with Memento Rich Cocoa, again, stamping off on scratch paper first.
Stamped the dragonfly with Memento Tuxedo Black and filled in with my E00 Copic marker.
Added E53.
Added E37.
Then added E59.
I used my Stardust Glitter Pen to add some sparkle. After coloring a second dragonfly, I cut them both out.
I cut the sentiment out with Petite Oval Nestabilities and then sponged with my Memento Potter's Clay Sponge Dauber. I didn't re-ink, just used what was left on the sponge dauber, so it would be light. I get asked frequently if I have a dedicated sponge dauber for each color and the answer is I have one for the colors I use most frequently. For the colors I reached for less often, I use a similarly colored dauber.
I layered the background with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and used Pumpkin Spice for the card base. the dragonflies and sentiment were adhered using Pop Dots and I added hemp twine under the sentiment.
Thanks for visiting. I hope your day is filled with fun!

Whimsical Wishes
Hello! I hope you are all having a happy holiday weekend. Here is a card I shared at the Gina K Designs release party on Thursday, using my new stamp set, Whimsical Wishes. I stamped the silhouettes on a scrap piece of Pure Luxury White. I was really just testing them out to see how they looked with the sentiments stamped over them, but I liked the way they looked and decided to make it into a card.
The silhouettes were stamped with Memento Danube Blue, Bahama Blue and Paris Dusk, then the sentiments were stamped on top with Stazon Jet Black. The dragonfly was colored with Copic markers and cut out. I added some sparkle with my Stardust Glitter Pen and adhered with Pop Dots. I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and used the brand new Pure Luxury color, Blue Raspberry for the card base.
Here is a look at the all the images in Whimsical Wishes. Click here to see all the new stamp sets from this release. Starting Tuesday morning, the GKD Design Team with be having blog hops featuring all the new stamp sets to inspire you.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Happy Dragonfly and an Invitation
Hello there! Guess what? It's time for a new Gina K Designs release and you are invited to the party! We have a fun evening planned for you - chatting, prizes, challenges, stamp sets reveal, design team shares, and most importantly, at the end of the party you will be able to go shopping! All the action starts at 7pm tonight in the Release Party Forum at Stamp TV. You can check the main page a little later today at StampTV to see the calendar of events. Then, at 9pm central, all the new sets will be available in the online store.
My card above was made using images from a new stamp set I illustrated, called Whimsical Wishes. The rest of the design team has some projects to share with you today, too. Click on the links below to see what they have created...
To start, I stamped the flower stem with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. I filled in an entire flower with V000.
I added V04 and used the previous color to blend.
Added V06 and used the previous color to blend.
I colored the two smaller flowers the same way and then cut out all three flowers.
I stamped and colored the dragonfly the same way, too, and then cut it out.
For the background, I sponged a piece of Pure Luxury White with Memento Cantaloupe ink.
Then I stamped the flower stem using Memento Bamboo Leaves ink.
Next, I stamped the big sentiment with Stazon Jet Black ink.
I used the big branch to stamp around the edges, using Memento Cantaloupe ink. I stamped off on scratch paper each time, before stamping on the background, to make the image lighter.
I adhered the flowers and dragonfly on the background, using Pop Dots, then layered with Pure Luxury Vibrant Purple and used a Sweet Corn card base. I added some shimmer to the flowers and dragonfly with my glitter pen and dimension to the flower centers with Liquid Pearls.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope your day is fabulous!
