Warm Get Well

Happy Friday! It's time for another color challenge at StampTV and here is my sample. I used the tree from my new set, Dino-mite, from Gina K Designs.

The colors this week are Red Hot, Sweet Mango and Fresh Asparagus. I love this combo! One random winner will be drawn to win a free Gina K stamp set! You can find the challenge here.

To start I used a piece of Pure Luxury Sweet Corn cardstock and masked a circle for the sun. Then I added sticky notes to mask the bottom and sponged Memento Tangelo.

Then sponged Memento Lady Bug.

Removed the mask.

Sponged Memento Tangelo along the bottom edge.

Then darkened the bottom edge with Memento Lady Bug.

I added the sticky notes again and sponged a bit of Memento Cantaloupe in the center of the sun.

I stamped the tree, from Dino-mite and colored with Copics, starting with YG97.

Added YG95.

I added YG93. leaving some white space, then used my blender pen on the white space, to let the color leach in.

On the trunk, I started with E49.

Added E59.

Filled in with E35. I colored a second tree and cut out both images.

I used some Neutral Greys to make a little island at the bottom of my scene.

I adhered the trees to the background, using Pop Dots. I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and added tiny accents, of Red Hot and Fresh Asparagus, above and below the image panel. The sentiment is from Fanciful Fall.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
