Gina K - Gina has some amazing candy on her blog today, too!

Edited to add - I just saw that Jennie (aka Starbucks_Stamper) has a blog candy giveaway going on right now. She is giving away Asela's new set, Framed Friends.

The limited supply challenge at SCS today was to use your favorite stamp(s) or stamp company and use your favorite color combo and embellishments. I didn't have to look far to find my favorites. They are always at hand.

In addition to A Year of Flowers (one of my most favorite stamp sets ever), I used nestabilities, my Perfectly Paisly cuttlebug folder, brads, ribbon and for my color combination I used Certainly Celery, So Saffron and Chocolate Chip.

I used the faux linen technique with Pearl Ex Powder on the top layer.

I started by cutting a piece of Gina K Pure Luxury white cardstock with my Labels 1 Nestabilities die. Then I sponged around it with Certainly Celery, Old Olive and Creamy Caramel. Then I used Tropical Flowers and did just a bit of stamping with Certainly Celery.

Next I took a piece of tissue paper, crumpled it and then spread it out again. Using slightly watered down craft glue, I painted a layer of glue.

Then I placed the tissue paper over the card stock and added a bit more glue to the surface.

Next I used my brush to apply a small amount of Pearl Ex powder to the surface.

Then I just trimmend the tissue fairly close to the edge of the card stock and wrapped the remainder over the sides and adhered it to the back.

Here is a close up of the completed card. I colored the top daisy with Koh-i-noor pencils and the bottom one with Copics. The sentiment is from Say it with Flowers.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Wow! This card... WOW! It's something else! So if I said I was feeling a bit under the weather, would I qualify for it? ;) It is beautiful! Better than getting real flowers, for sure! I just love what you did with the nesties label and tissue paper. Amazing stuff, Theresa!
