Lovely Labels 2 Revisited

Hello! I hope you all had a great weekend. This week, I'll mostly be showing the step by step photos of some of the previews that I showed last week, plus some cards that I showed during the Gina K release party, but hadn't shown here. Today I'm showing the photos from this card, that previewed last Sunday, featuring Nina Brackett's new stamp set, Lovely Labels 2.

To start, I stamped the image with Black Stazon ink.

Then I created a masking by cutting a circle from scratch paper. I used Large Circle Nestabilities to cut the circle. I centered the circle mask over the image and sponged Memento Lulu Lavender.

Then sponged Memento Grape Jelly.

Then I sponged a little Memento Paris Dusk along the bottom only.

I stamped the flower, from Faithful Florals, twice, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The flower stamp is curved, but I wanted the second image to be straighter. So I cut between the leaves on the stamp to make it easier to straighten. When I placed it on the acrylic block, I was able to straighten it out a bit and stamp the image.

This image fits the Spellbinders Labels 15 Nestabilties set, but I don't have that set yet. So I just trimmed around the image with my Cutterbee scissors. I love that even if you don't have all the coordinating Nestabilities yet, you can still use this great stamp set.

I layered with Pure Luxury Vibrant Purple and White and used a Lovely Lavender card base.

That is it for stamping for today. Scroll down for some hiking photos if you are interested.

The weekend before last, Mike and I went on another big hike, this time to Castle Crags State Park. There are some really phenomenal rock formations on this hike. We really liked this particular spot along the trail. Mike took the photo and to give you an idea of the scale, that is me standing between the two spires.

Here is a view looking back as we went back down the trail.

Here is another cool rock formation, looking out into the valley. We climbed around 2500 feet in elevation and the trail was over 7 miles round trip. We are so lucky to have so many amazing scenic parks all around us here in norther California. This past weekend we went on another hike to Brokeoff Mountain in Lassen Park. I'll show some pics of that later in the week.

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share my photos. Have a wonderful day!

WOW Stunning card. Loved it. I get so inspired when I see your cards. I really liked your tip about cutting out the labels also, because I do not have those dies either. Awesome card.
