Blue Sympathy

Hello! Today I played along with the featured stamper challenge on SCS. The featured stamper this week is Pam Hooten (aka Iris) and what a beautiful gallery she has. I chose this card for my inspiration. Participants are to change at least two things. I changed...

Different stamps
Sponged Background
Different colors
Stamped and embossed in place of DP

To start, I sponged Memento Cantaloupe in the center of the background.

Then I sponged Memento Summer Sky starting from the edges and working in toward the Cantaloupe.

Then sponged Memento Danube Blue just along the edges.

Stamped the silhouette stem, from Botanicals (Gina K) using Memento Tuxedo Black and then stamped it a few more times with Memento Summer Sky.

Used a white gel pen to add some highlights.

For the top of the back panel, I stamped a small branch, from Hope Grows, with Memento Summer Sky, in a random pattern.

For the bottom panel, I sponged the edges with Summer Sky and then embossed with my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.

I used Pure Luxury In The Navy to layer with and used a White card base.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a happy day!

Gorgeous card, Theresa! I'm in need of a sympathy card; might have to play "copy-cat."

Wow! The shadows and design and shading are so perfect for a sympathy card. You always get A's on my report card--but this gets a plus sign by it. :)
