Old Olive Trees

The Try a New Technique challenge on SCS today is to was to use the Gamsol technique on dark card stock. I hadn't ever done this and can't say I am happy with the results. I probably needed to use lighter colors.

I stamped the trees (from Tiny Trinity - Unity) on black card stock using white pigment ink. Then I colored them by dipping my prisma color pencils in OMS before applying the color.

Check out that designer paper. It is from Close to My Heart. Anna sent me a whole sampler pack from their new catalog. Thanks, Anna! I really like these papers. They seem more suited to me than the SU ones that I usually get and never use.

And this is just plain lovely too! The colors are so rich!

The coloring on those trees make them look like some kind of metal. Very nice.

Cool, the papers even match your ribbon, like negative of the ribbon. Glad you like them.
