Happy Fall Memory

Hello! This month Gina challenged us to make a project inspired by a favorite fall memory. I always love fall and have a lot of happy memories to draw from. Some of my favorite times where when my daughter was young and we would go to the pumpkin patch to choose our pumpkins, go on hay rides and get lost in the corn maze. I used the tree/fence and wagon wheel from my new set, Farm Life and added the pumpkins and sentiment from a set I released last year, Autumn Beauty.

I hope you'll play along with the challenge for a chance to be a guest designer for Gina K Designs. For all the information about how to enter your card into this month's challenge, please visit GinaK's blog, then check out these participating designer's blogs for more inspiration using the newly released stamp sets available through GinaK Designs:

To make my card, I started by stamping the wagon wheel in the lower right of my cardstock.

I stamped the wagon wheel again on a sticky note and cut around it to use it as a mask, then I stamped the tree/fence. Because of the scale of the two image, I stamped the tree/fence higher to make it recede in the distance a bit.

I removed the mask and colored the images with Copics, starting with E31 on the wagon wheel.

Added E35.

Used W1 to blend.

Added shading with N1.

Added more shading with N5.

Then on the wood to the right, I added E59.

Added E57.

Filled in with E53.

Used my blender pen to wash out the wood a bit.

For the trees, I started by making splotches with Y21.

Added YG93.

Added YG95.

Next, I sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink. I didn't bother masking the images since they were all colored pretty dark and I didn't think my sponging would detract from them.

Sponged Memento Tangelo.

Sponged Memento Rose Bud.

Sponged Memento Desert Sand.

Sponged Memento Rich Cocoa.

I used YG93 and YG95 to color in the grass around the wheel, trees and fence posts. I added some shadows with YG91.

Added more shadows with N1 and colored the fence with E35.

I stamped the pumpkins on a separate piece of cardstock and colored, starting with YR07.

Added YR04.

Filled in with YR000. I colored the remaining pumpkins the same way.

I used YG95 to color the stems and used N3 to add some shadows to the pumpkins. After coloring, I cut out the image.

I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and used a Pumpkin Spice card base. The pumpkins were adhered with Pop Dots.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
