Fall Pumpkins - CAS

Hi all! I played along with the Clean and Simple challenge at SCS yesterday, which was a sketch challenge, and this is what I came up with. I also used the colors for yesterdays color challenge at STV. I usually love CAS cards, but this one just looks too plain to me. I guess I like CAS cards better when other people do them.

Here are the details...

I stamped my wheel barrow, from Autumn Blessings, with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then used Copics to color, starting with E57.

I filled in with E51.

Then used E35 to blend.

Here is a close up so you can see just how bad I am at coloring inside the lines.

Gotta love the blender pen. I used it to "push" the color where it belongs. I used a scrubbing motion to sweep it along, pausing to let it dry. When you use your blender to make corrections like this, you need to be careful not to over saturate the paper.

To color the pumpkins, I used YR07.

Added YR04.

Then YR12.

Filled in with Y21 and used YG93 & YG95 on the stems.

I used a straight edge and a craft knife to cut a slit along the side and front of the wheel barrow, so my pumpkins could fit inside.

Then I cut out the pumpkins and slid them in.

Used my rectangle Nestabilities to cut out the wheel barrow and then sponged a bit of So Saffron ink while still in the die.

Then I layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Kiss, SU Bravo Burgundy and used a Pure Luxury Soft Sand card base. The sentiment is also from Autumn Beauty.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
