Elegant Verses Blog Hop

I love the beautiful sentiments in Nina Bracket's latest stamp set, Elegant Verses. They coordinate perfectly with Nina's previous set,Elegant Post, but they are also very versatile and will work with many of the other stamp sets in you collection.

For even more samples of the Elegant Verses stamp set, please visit the Illustrator of the set, Nina Brackett's blog. Nina will be offering her new stamp set as blog candy tonight too - so we hope you'll take the time to comment on her blog for your chance to win this beautiful stamp set!

After visiting Nina, hop over to her good friend Silke Ledlow's blog for some special projects she'll be sharing with us tonight.

Then, stop by these GinaK Design Team Members' blogs participating in Nina's blog hop tonight:

Here are the details on how I made my card...

I started by cutting a piece of Pure Luxury White cardstock, using my Labels One Nestabilities die. Then, while still in the die, I sponged Certainly Celery (SU).

Then I sponged some Pretty In Pink. Sorry about the blurry photo.

Added some Regal Rose ink.

Stamped my verse from Elegant Verses.

Then stamped some foliage and flowers from Tropical Flowers, using Regal Rose and Certainly Celery.

To make the larger background panel, I stamped a flower from Bug Me Anytime, using Regal Rose ink.

Then I stamped another flower from Bug Me Anytime, this time using Pretty in Pink ink.

I used my Perfectly Paisley Cuttlebug Folder to emboss the vertical panel and added some white Sateen Flowers, with self adhesive pearl centers.

Thanks for visiting. Tomorrow I'll be showcasing another of my guest designers. Have a great day!

BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for the step by step - BUT how did you get the black layer in there? Spellbinders does not make a die in that increment.
Thanks again for sharing all of your beautiful work!

Oh Theresa, your artwork is always inspiring as well as breathtaking. Thanks so much for the tutorials, it helps so much to see the different steps. Question: did you sponge the paisley layer first (which is what I think) or after embossing it? Thanks!
