Autumn Pumpkins

Good morning! I want to let you know that I have posts scheduled for the rest of the week and I will be taking some time to spend with my family for the next few days (and hopefully get a little drawing done, too). If you email me during this time, I may be slow to respond. If you would like to see the results from my blog candy givaway, you can scroll down to the post below or click here.

For my card today, I used the new StampTV kit, Signs of Autumn. The images, sentiments, pattern paper and cardstock are all from the new kit!

I started by stamping my images on Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I colored with Copic markers, starting with YR07 in the shadowed areas of the pumpkins.

Added YR4, blending in from the previous color in small circles.

Finished the pumpkins with YR02 and my blender pen.

For the leaf image, I started with E37 over the main veins.

Then I went over the entire leaf with Y23. I went over the lines since I knew I was cutting this image out and there are a lot of curves that would be hard to get cut perfectly.

Added YR12 around the veins.

Then I added Y17 going nearly to the outer edges.

For the oval, I use my oval Nestabilities and Cuttlebug to cut it, then sponged Apricot Appeal and Creamy Caramel ink, while still in the die.

For the larger panel, I sponged Creamy Caramel and Chocolate Chip, then stamped the leaf randomly in the lower portion, using Creamy Caramel ink. After that, I ran it through my Cuttlebug, with just the upper portion sandwiched in my Swiss Dots folder.

I layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Kiss and some of the Signs of Autumn pattern paper from the kit. The cardbase is Pure Luxury Pumpkin Spice, which will be available next month from Gina K, but is currently only available in the new kit.

The sentiment is part of a larger stamp, that I only inked up a portion of.

Be sure to check out the new video at StampTV today. Gina is sharing a great project using a technique called watercolor spritzing.

Hey, rumor has it my friend Tina has some fab blog candy. If you love Gina K stamps, you'll want to check it out. Tina is going to be giving away the stamp set of your choice to one lucky winner!
