Eclectic Butterfly

Good morning! Today there is a new episode on StampTV, featuring the polished stone technique. There are also new weekly challenges to check out, each with a chance to win a Gina K stamp set. I've never done the polished stone technique, so I decided to give it a try.

I used stamps from the new Eclectic Summer StampTV kit and colored them with Copic markers. The top layer is my polished stone layer. I used Regal Rose and Pumpkin Pie re-inkers as well as Tim Holtz copper mixatives to do the technique.

The patterned paper is Basic Grey Lime Rickey and is included in the StampTV kit. I used Pure Luxury Black Onyx to layer and white base weight for my card base.

I'm feeling lazy and didn't upload my step by step coloring photos. If anybody wants to see them, just let me know and I will go back and edit this post.

OMGosh, that's a busy card, isn't it? This is why I shouldn't be allowed to use patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Busy or not, your cards are always beautiful Theresa and this one is no exception.

I finally got round to visiting Gina's Stamp TV site today. I really enjoyed the videos and found lots of lovely things and useful information.

You might think it's busy, but I think it's lovely. If I only had the supplies to try some of these techniques. But the money is just not there. Your card is really special though. Thanks for sharing it!
