Nevada Sunset

Goodmorning! Here is my third VSN challenge card. The challenge, Lucky Number Seven, was to use seven of something on your card/project. I used seven brads along the bottom of my card.

Here are the details...

I started by sponging my cardstock with So Saffron, then added Creamy Caramel around the edges and working in toward the center. Then I added Chocolate Chip right on the very edges.

I stamped both of the trees from Tree Silhouettes (Gina K) with Going Gray ink.

Next I created a mask from some post-it notes, by tearing the edges. I got this idea from Michelle Zindorf, who does it all the time. Using Post-it Notes saves time and effort, because they are already sticky and you don't have to use re-positionable tape to get them to stay in place.

Then I sponged Chocolate Chip and Basic Black ink to the foreground.

Stamped the trees again, this time with Memento Black.

Used Copic markers to create some shadows and define the horizon line.

I layered the image panel with Pure Luxury Black Onyx cardstock (Gina K), and So Saffron (Stampin' Up). The card base is Pure Luxury Chocolate Kiss (Gina K).

Have a great day!

Simply gorgeous! Can I ask what colors of the Copics you used? Just nosey since I don't have any and want to get a couple to play with. It is not like I can even come close to your card but I can try! Thanks so much for sharing the card and the tutorial!
