Cathy Tidwell - Guest Designer and Blog Candy!

I discovered Cathy Tidwell (aka Catdidit) when I discovered Gina K Designs last year. I was immediately struck by her creative designs and vibrant personality. Her enthusiasm for Gina K products is contagious!

Shorty after I started ordering Gina K stamps, Cathy was invited by Melanie Muenchinger to be her guest designer for her newest stamp set (at the time), Little Tee's. I was so impressed with all the wonderful projects she made with that set! I was just starting to think about illustrating myself and I knew that if I ever did get the chance, that Cat would be the first person I would ask to help me showcase my stamps. I am so thrilled she agreed!

The card above is one Cat created for our release party last week, featuring my new set, Out West. I love her gorgeous coloring and check out that field of flowers! She used flower soft to the tufts of grass, even drew in some more tufts, to create a field of Texas Bluebonnets!

Did you hear? The Paper Temptress is extending her sale on her fabulous Leather Cardstock until May 10th. I used it on this project a few days ago, and I love it so much I ordered more. I think it is going to be great for making 3-D projects!

Tina made this beautiful horseshoe shaped card! I love it! What a talented lady she is.

My mom knocked my socks off with this card, using Gina's woodgraining technique!
