Gina K January Release Inspiration

Hi there! It's inspiration time at Gina K Designs! Today the design team will be featuring three of the new January Release stamp sets, along with some of the wonderful new Color Companions products. First up is a card made with Melanie Muenchinger's wonderful new Stately Flowers 6, the latest in her series of state flowers. I also used the new Gina K Innocent Pink ink pad on the sponged background! All the details for this card are below.

Next is a fun new set from Beth Silaika, called Lovely Ladybug. This set is adorable! It has everything you need to make fun ladybug cards.  So many of the elements in this set are perfect for graphic designs, too. I was inspired to make a gear/cog type of background on this card.

My third card features an exciting new set by Carolyn King, Stamp It Big! I love the bold, chunky sentiments in this set. They are perfect for focal images and scrapbook pages. Plus, Carolyn included a bunch of fun graphic elements. The possibilities are endless with this set! The buttons and ribbon on this card are from the new Color Companions Buttons and Ribbons!

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! To see the full list of winners checkthe Big News forum at Stamp TV a few days after the hops.
Now lets see what the rest of the team has to inspire us!

Here are the step by step photos for the Stately Flowers 6 card…

I stamped the Mountain Laurel image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then began coloring with Copic markers, starting with R89.

Added R29.

Added R24.

Added R22, leaving just a small bit of uncolored bits on each petal.

Then I used my blender pen on the highlight areas, letting some of the red leach into those areas to blend.

For the leaves, I filled in with YG25.

Then shaded with YG95.  After coloring, I cut out the image.

Using Spellbinders new Decorative Labels Twenty-two, I cut a piece of white card stock, then used Gina K Innocent Pink ink to sponge.

Next I cut another piece, using the larger die template from the Decorative Labels Twenty-two, from Gina K Love Letters pattern paper. I layered Pure Luxury Innocent Pink card stock, Black Onyx card stock and used a white card base. I threaded a piece of wide, black satin ribbon through the pattern paper. The flowers were adhered to the background using Pop Dots.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a fabulous day!
