Hello and happy Friday to you all. Today I have a sympathy card made from my newest set, Tropical Nature, along with an older set, Aloha.
To begin, I cut a piece of Pure Luxury White card stock to 2 ¾
by 5 1/8 inches, then sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink.
Next, I sponged Memento Tangelo.
Then sponged a bit of Memento Angel Pink.
Sponged Memento Summer Sky.
I wanted the top edge to be just a bit darker, so I used my Danube Blue sponge, but didn't re-ink it, and sponged using the residual ink left from the last time I used that dauber.
I placed sticky notes near the bottom edge to mask the water, then used torn sticky notes to mask the sky and sponged Memento Espresso Truffle.
Then I masked off the top, leaving just the water and sponged lightly with Memento Gray Flannel.
I added waves by making thin lines with my N5 Copic marker, then adding a white line just above the dark lines, using an opaque white marker.
Stamped the palm trees, from Tropical Nature, using Memento Tuxedo Black.
Then used N7 to color in the trees.
I stamped the palm tree, from Aloha, also using Memento Tuxedo Black.
For the trunk, I used N7 again and also used N7 along the center line of each palm frond. Then I added YG95 to each frond.
To create some foreground, I used torn sticky notes again to mask, then sponged Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Stamped the sentiment, from Assorted Greetings, also using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I layered with a piece of Pure Luxury Black Onyx and used Little Boy Blue for my card base (5 ½ by 4 ¼ inches). The score lines were added using my Scor-Buddy.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
