Gina K Inspiration Hop Day 2

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop!!! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of deeply etched, pre-cut Gina K. Designs stamps! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops.

Hello! Today the design team are featuring two more new release stamp sets. First up is the set I illustrated for this month, Sweet Strawberries. This stamp set makes me hungry! I'll share the details on how I made the card above at the bottom of this post.

And here is another sample using Sweet Strawberries. I just got home last week from a wonderful vacation to Jamaica and I have to confess I had just a few strawberry daiquiris by the beach, so I just had to make a card like this. I'll share the tutorial for this card a little later in the week.

Next up is such a cool new set from Tami Mayberry, called Vintage Notes. This will be a great set for creating not just cards, but fun little gifts and scrapbook pages, too! Tami designed this set to coordinate with the Spellbinders™ Shapeabilities® Office Supplies die set. I don't have that set yet, so I had to improvise with a hole punch. After stamping the lined note image, I stamped some paper clips and added the sentiment. I placed the Tim Holtz metal frame over the sentiment and attached with brads. I created my own custom pattern paper using images and sentiments from Vintage Notes, then layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and used a Tan Leather card base.

For more inspiration be sure to check out what the rest of the team have created for you...

To start my card I stamped the strawberries with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers, beginning withR89.

Added R29.

Then added R27.

Added R24.

Added R22.

Then filled in with R00.

I used G03 on the leaves.

Added YG23 to make them brighter.

Then filled in with YG97. After coloring, I cut out the strawberries and then covered them with Crystal Lacquer.

I cut a piece of Pure Luxury White card stock with rectangle Nestabilities and sponged Memento New Sprout ink.

Sponged Memento Cantaloupe.

Then sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves.

I stamped the silhouette strawberry plant with Memento Bamboo Leaves.

I cut a piece of GKD Petals and Wings designer paper with Spellbinders Labels 4 and sponged Memento Lady Bug ink around the edges.

Cut a another piece of pattern paper from the Petals and Wings collection and sponged the edges with Memento Bamboo Leaves.

I created the sentiment layer with Labels 4 also and sponged with Memento Bamboo Leaves. I used Pop Dots to pop up the image a sentiment layer and used Pure Luxury Fresh Asparagus for the card base (4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches).

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day. Be sure to check back tomorrow for another inspiration blog hop from Gina K!
