Pink Tropics

Hello. Today I have a tropical card all in pink. I used images from Aloha and Vogue Vases.

I stamped the hibiscus, from Aloha, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored with Copics, starting with RV19.

 Added RV25.

 Added RV23.

Filled in with RV81 and used Y17 on the stamen. After coloring, I cut out the flower.

For the background I started by sponging Memento Cantaloupe ink.

 Then sponged Memento Angel Pink.

 Sponged Memento Rose Bud ink.

Then I used sticky notes to mask the top and sponged more with Rose Bud to create a horizon line.

I removed the mask and stamped the palm fronds, from Vogue Vases, using Tuxedo Black ink.

Then stamped the palm tree island using Memento Tuxedo Black.

I used my opaque white gel pen and RV25 & RV23 to add some ripples to the water.

I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and used a Passionate Pink card base. The scallops were made using Spellbinders Big Scallop Petites with Pure Luxury Bubblegum Pink. The card size is 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 inches and the main image panel is 4 1/4 by 3 inches. The flower was adhered with Pop Dots and I added self adhesive pearls at each scallop.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day.

You are such an inspiration and after following you for quite some time, I tried your sponging techniques on a card! You can check it out here....
