I used You Are My Sunshine by Gina K for this card. The limited supplies challenge at SCS was to make a summer theme card so this fit the bill.
Here is a picture of the Natural Sand Texture by Liquitex that I used for the sand.
I used water colors for the ocean, starting with a light blue.
Next I added some more color, using a green/blue and purple/blue.
Then I filled in the beach area by painting on the Natural Sand Texture. I used my brush to give it "drifts."
After it was dry, I went over it with water colors. I also clear embossed the ocean to make it shining.
Colored and clear embossed my image.
After I placed the umbrella, I went back and added some shadowing using water colors.
Have a great weekend.

Another great card! Thanks for visiting my blog this week.
Now I see why they made a glass stamp bigger than the chair and umbrella. Very cool. Love the sand effect and shadows you created.
Very cute and creative card, I love the sand idea...very creative!
