Start by stamping the bluebird on white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Begin coloring with a YR14 Copic marker.
Fill in the rest of the chest area using E02.
Add B26 for the darker areas.
Blend from there using B24.
Then fill in with B21.
Use BV13 and BV00 for the flower petals, YG95 for the stems and N3 of the legs and beak.
For the post, start with E29.
Add E25.
Blend out further with E33 and fill in with E31. After coloring, cut out the image.
Cut and emboss white cardstock using Spellbinders® A2 Matting Basics A die template and begin sponging, using Gina K Sweet Corn ink.
Sponge over the yellow using Gina K Innocent Pink ink.
Sponge very lightly along the top and down the sides uinsg Gina K Wild Lilac ink.
There were a few tiny sections in the bird image that I didn't cut out and I used V91 and E02 to fill in those spots to match the sponged background.
Prepare a 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inch white card base and add decorative score lines to two opposite corners using a Scor-Buddy. Cut and emboss Spellbinders Sprigs die template from Pure Luxury Sandy Beach cardstock and adhere to the card base. Adhere the bird image to the die cut and then adhere both layers to the card base.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

I love the bird and bird house cards. The rustic look you gave to the bird house is fantastic. It looks real and so does the bird. Awesome cards. Thanks for the inspiration.
