Hello and happy Friday to you all! I was in a brown mood so I colored my butterfly mostly with brown Copics. The butterfly and grass are from Warm With Love and the sentiment is from Vogue Vases.
I started with Y21 on the outside of the wings.
Then added E53 on the insides.
Added E35.
Then E55.
Added E57.
And finally E59. After coloring, I cut out the butterfly.
For the background, I cut a piece of Pure Luxury White using rectangle Nestabitlities and then sponged Memento Desert Sand ink.
Sponged Memento Rich Cocoa.
Then stamped the grass several times with Memento Bamboo Leaves.
Then I stamped the butterfly using Memento Tuxedo Black, so it would have antennae and legs after I adhere it, since I cut those of when cutting out the image before.
I used Spellbinders Big Scallop Border Petites to cut the Pure Luxury Fresh Asparagus and Chocolate Brown layers. To get strips like this, I like to use the die on a wide scrap of card stock, then put it in my cutter, with the scallop side extending over the edge and using the wide part to rest against the top guide, then cut. It's really hard to line the dies up perfectly and and hard to cut narrow strips unless it is from a large piece, so that is how I usually do it. Hope that makes sense. It anyone wants, I can try to get some step by step photos to explain that better in a few weeks.
I used scallop rectangle Nestabilities to cut a Pure Luxury Chocolate brown layer behind the background. The butterfly was adhered with Pop Dots. I stamped the sentiment on vellum and adhered it with Pop Dots, then added buttons to hide the Pop Dots. The card base is Pure Luxury Tan Leather.

Purple Mountains
Hello! Last week I came across this photo and decided to use it as inspiration for a card.
I used circle Nestabilities to cut a circle for a mask and place it in position, then sponged Memento Lulu Lavender ink.
Then sponged Memento Grape Jelly.
I cut a mountain range from scratch paper and used repositionable tape. I place it upside down to do the reflection first, sponging with Memento Sweet Plum ink.
Then I flipped the mask and added a second mask to create the water line. I sponged Memento Grape Jelly for the mountains.
Then sponged Memento Paris Dusk.
I removed the mask and stamped the trees, from Follow Your Dreams, in the foreground with Stazon Jet Black ink.
I used my N1 and N3 Copic markers to add a tiny bit of shading at the shoreline to define it a bit.
Used my V04 Copic and white gel pen to add some ripples to the water.
I masked the water at the shoreline and used one of the tree lined bank images, from Life is Good, to stamp some trees.
I wanted more definition alone the shore, so I used my Grape Jelly Memento marker to add more shading.
I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and used a Wild Lilac card base. The sentiment is from Vogue Vases.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a fabulous day!

Soft Autumn Birthday
Hello Happy Stampers! Today I have a card using The Giving Tree.
I started by sponging Memento Desert Sand ink on an Ivory background.
Then sponged MEmento Rich Cocoa.
Next I sponged Memento Angel Pink at the top.
Then lightly with Memento Rose Bud.
I stamped the tree with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Then I used Copic markers, YG93 and YG91 to add some shading to the ground.
I stamped the small leaf trio with Memento Desert Sand around the base of the tree.
Then stamped it again several times with Memento Angel Pink.
On a small piece of Pure Luxury White card stock, I stamped the birdhouse and used Copics to color, starting with E59.
Then added E57.
Added E35.
Then filled in with E51.
I used N5 on the roof.
I cut out the birdhouse and adhered it with Pop Dots, then stamped the rake to be leaning on the tree.
I inked up the bird with Memento Summer Sky, then just touched the top edge of the bird to the Danube Blue ink pad before stamping, to give him a little shading.
I used on of the images from Elegant Elements and stamped around the top and sides with Memento Angel Pink.
Someone asked me how I wrap my bakers twine around my layers. Sorry, I can't remember if it was a comment or an email, but here is how I do it. I start at #1 and hold the twine with my thumb, leaving one end just dangling. With my thumb still holding it in place, a pull the other end toward #2 and wrap it around the back toward #3. I wrap it around and then angle it toward #4. I wrap it around at #4 and then keep it straight going toward #5. Wrap it around at #5 and then meet up at #1 and tie it off. When I tie it off it isn't always crossing at just the point I want, so then I just adjust the twine here and there until I'm happy with it. I hope that makes sense.
I layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and used an Innocent Pink card base.

Congrats, RedGem! Can you email me at theresamomber@gmail.com, with your snail mail address so I can send your new stamp set and magazine out to you?
My card above uses images from By The Sea. I'm sorry I didn't get step by step photos for this one, but I do have three cards coming this week with tutorials. Once in a while the fit comes over me and I just have to make a card start to finish without pausing for photos. I colored the sandpiper with Copic markers and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to resist ink. Then I sponged the background with Memento inks.
Thanks again for all your support and encouragement! It means so much to me. I'll be back with a tutorial tomorrow, I promise. Have a wonderful day!

Published!
Hello! I'm so excited that I got a card I submitted published in Card Maker Magazine. This is my first time and it is quite a thrill. I love Card Maker. Their photos are so beautifully done and they include so many details for each project. There are several projects in this issue using GKD stamps, including three with images from Fanciful Fall! It is truly a gorgeous magazine packed full of fabulous projects for fall.
Here is a peek at my card on page 60. I used the tree from The Giving Tree and bats and sentiment from Boo!
How would you like to win a copy of this issue of Card Maker along with The Giving Tree stamp set? Just leave me a comment on this post and I'll draw a random winner on Monday. Even if you already have The Giving Tree in your collection, go ahead and enter. You can give it to a friend, or we can figure out another of my sets to send you.
Here is a look at the inside of the card, which didn't get shown in the magazine. The pumpkin and sentiment are from Fanciful Fall.
Be sure to check out some fabulous projects from some of my friends also in this issue, Vicki Dutcher, Patti J, Melanie Muenchinger, Jennie Harper, Tami Mayberry, Collleen Schaan and Michelle Woerrner.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a great day!

Tropical Birthday
Hello! We've been having unseasonably cool weather this July, but that is coming to an end. So, with the heat headed back, I decided to make a summery card. I pulled out Aloha and Vogue Vases to make this card.
I started by sponging Memento Cantaloupe ink across the center of my background.
Then sponged Memento Potter's Clay.
Then sponged Memento Rich Cocoa.
I punched a hole in a sticky note and used it as a mask, then sponged Memento Potter's Clay.
Then sponged Memento Rich Cocoa in the circle.
Removed the mask and stamped the palm tree island, from Aloha, with Stazon Jet Black ink.
I used the palm leaves, from Vogue Vases and stamped with Memento Potter's Clay.
Then I used my C1 Copic marker to shade along the horizon line, using a sticky note as a straight edge. I used a white gel pen to add white caps to the water.
I layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and used a Tan Leather card base. the sentiment is from Whimsical Wishes.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!
