Hey there! I hope you are all having a great weekend so far. Today's card is a thank you for a special friend. I used the sunflower from Autumn Beauty.
I colored with Copics, starting with R08.
Added YR07.
Added Y17.
Then I filled in with Y21 and used my blender pen to push in some highlights.
I used E39, E33 and YR04 for the center.
Filled in the stem and leaves completely with YG25.
Added YG97.
Then used YG93 to blend.
For the background, I sponged Memento Dessert Sand ink around the edges.
Used a cut sticky note to mask so I could sponged some ground with Memento Bamboo Leaves.
I used the curvy cattails, from Fanciful Fall, and stamped with Memento Desert Sand.
To make the big scallop bottom border, I placed a piece of Pure Luxury Tan Leather cs through my big scallop rectangle die and ran it through my Cuttlebug.
I adhered the sunflower with Pop Dots. I layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and used a Pumpkin Spice card base.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Warm Fall
Hey there! Did you see Gina is showing snippets from the next release on her blog?!
I used the tree from Fanciful Fall on this card and played along with the Cuttlebug Spot challenge to make an autumn card. The title of my blog post is just wishful thinking. We are having a cold spell here.
To start, I cut a piece of Pure Luxury white card stock, using rectangle Nestabilities. Then I sponged Scattered Straw Distress Ink.
Sponged Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
I used Memento Markers to ink up my tree. Rich Cocoa on the trunk and Cantaloupe on the leaves. Then I used Potter's Clay to add a quick swipe on each of the leaves. I huffed on the stamp, to re-moisten it before stamping.
I used E37, Y17 and YR14 Copic markers to add just a bit more shading to the image.
On the second background layer I sponged Distress Wild Honey.
Then sponged Distress Vintage Photo.
I stamped the curvy cattails, from Fanciful Fall, around the edges. After stamping, I used my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder to emboss this layer.
I layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and used a Tan Leather cardbase. The sentiment layered was sponged the same as the tree layer.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a great day!

Jovial Bells
Hiya, Stampers! Just a quickie post today. I used the CPS sketch on this card. I used the bells and sentiment from A Very Merry Christmas and designer paper from Jovial by Basic Grey.
The bells are colored with Copics and cut out. The oval layer was cut with Nestabilities and sponged with Memento Desert Sand, while still in the die. I layered with Pure Luxury Cranberry Tart and used a Kraft card base.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

CAS Jack-O-Lantern
Hello! I decided to play along with the Moxie Fab World Challenge to make pleats. The challenge ends tonight, so I am coming in just under the wire. I pulled out Fanciful Fall and decided to go with a CAS design.
To start, I stamped the wavy grass, from Fanciful Fall, using Memento Bamboo Leaves, several times across my kraft card base. I used sticky notes to get an even line at the bottom.
Then I placed Scor-tape along the bottom of the grass.
I adhered green grosgrain ribbon on the tape, folding it in pleats as I went. After I had done all my pleats, I stitched a line across the pleats, using my sewing machine.
I stamped the large pumpkin using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored with Copics, starting with YR07.
Added YR04.
Added YR12.
Filled in with YR000.
Then I stamped the Jack-O-Lantern face using Memento Tuxedo Black.
Used YG95 on the stem.
Added YG97.
I used YG03 and YG93 on the leaves. After coloring, I cut out the image.
I adhered the pumpkin with Pop Dots and added the sentiment, scoring on either side.
Thanks for popping in. I hope you have a fab day!

Hibiscus Sunset
Happy Weekend! Last week we had temperatures in the 90s and this weekend its raining and in the 50s. Mike and I did manage to get a 12 mile hike in yesterday, but no pretty pictures since it drizzled on us the whole way. This card makes me feel better. I would love to be there, enjoying a nice warm sunset.
I started by stamping the hibiscus, from Aloha, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I colored with Copics, starting with Y17.
Added Y23.
Added Y21, leaving some white spaces.
Then I used my blender pen. By saturating the white area, I was able to push some of the yellow into that area, for a smoother transition to my highlights. I went back with Y17 to deepen the shading and add some veining to the petals.
I stamped the flower a second time on scratch paper and cut it out to make a mask. Then I adhered it over the first flower using re-positionable tape. Next, I sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink.
I punched a 1.5 inch circle and adhered that to the background, also using re-positionable tape, to mask for a sun. Then I sponged more Cantaloupe ink around the sun.
Sponged Memento Tangelo ink.
Then sponged Memento Rose Bud ink.
I removed the sun mask and place sticky notes across the top, where I wanted the horizon line. Then I sponged Memento Tangelo ink.
Sponged Memento Rose Bud.
I removed the sticky notes and stamped the sand/cloud image using Memento London Fog ink, which I stamped off once on scratch paper before stamping on my background.
Used C1 and C3 to shade the clouds.
Stamped the sailboat, also from Aloha, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Used RV25, YR04 and an opaque white gel pen to add some waves. Used C1 for a shadow in front of the boat.
I added some Doodle Bug glitter to the hibiscus using my Quickie Glue Pen. I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and used a Passionate Pink card base.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
