Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It's time for a new sketch challenge at StampTV and this is my sample. I used my new set, Little Critters. Sorry, no tutorial again today.
I colored the images with Copic markers and cut them out, trimming the frog and turtle on one side to fit the square panels. I sponged the squares with Memento New Sprout, then layered with Pure Luxury In The Navy and Baby Boy Blue. I added some strips of Fresh Asparagus for the vertical element and used a Kraft card base. The sentiment was stamped on vellum.
Here is the fun sketch for this week's challenge. I hope you'll play along for a chance to win a free stamp set from Gina K!
Have a great day!

Happy Day Flowers
Happy Friday! Time for another color challenge at StampTV. Here is my sample. I am also submitting this to the Moxie Fab Stamping With Markers Challenge. I used images from Hope Grows, along with a sentiment from Little Critters.
The StampTV colors this week are Creme De Menthe, Red Hot and Lemon Drop. One lucky participant will be randomly chosen to win a Gina K stamp set of their choice. I hope you'll play along.
I colored the flowers with Copic markers and cut them out. The oval background was sponged with Memento New Sprout ink. The I inked up the leafy branch with Memento New Sprout and used my Memento Bamboo Leaves marker to ink up the stem and shady parts of the leaves. I huffed on the stamp to re-moisten it before stamping on the background.
I layered with Pure Luxury Red Hot and Lemon Drop. The card base is Creme De Menthe.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a happy day!

Gable Frog Bag
Hi there, stampers! Here is another tutorial I promised from a project I shared last week. This is almost identical to the one I posted yesterday, with just a few adjustments. All the images are from my latest set, Little Critters.
I started with a full 8.5 by 11 inch sheet of card stock, then scored on the narrow side at 1.5 inches and 5 inches.
Rotate the card stock and score at 1.5 inches, 5 inches, 6.5 inches and 10 inches.
Fold and crease on score lines and make the cuts shown above. Remove sections as indicated.
I slid the Spellbinders Big Blossom die over the protruding sections, all the way down. This is different from yesterday's tutorial, where I only slid the die down to one inch above the score line. The big blossom die fit perfectly over the card stock for me, but if it is a little snug, just trim it slightly until it slides on.
I used my Grand Calibur machine to cut the bag tabs. I did trim a bit off the 8.5 inch side to make it a little easier to fit in the Grand Calubur. (you can fit a full sheet in the GC if you remove the feed tray, otherwise you can just time a tiny amount from the side of your cardstock) It's so cool to be able to fit a big template inside the GC. I wouldn't have been able to do this with my Cuttlebug.
I added some Score-tape to the side tab, then adhered.
Folded the bottom flaps in and added Score-tape there, too. Then adhered.
For the front, I stamped the mushroom image, from Little Critters, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics, starting with YG03 for the green foliage.
Added YG95 to shade.
Filled in the mushrooms with E53.
Added E31 to shade the stem and underside.
More shading with W3.
On the tops, added E19.
Added E17.
Then added E15.
Sponged Memento Desert Sand on the background.
Sponged Memento Cantaloupe.
For the frog, I started with YG25.
Added YG23.
Filled in with YG21.
Added some shading with G07 and used R05 on the eyes. I colored the mushroom the same as the others and cut out the image.
I adhered the frog image to the background, using Pop Dots and layered with Pure Luxury Fresh Asparagus. The bag base is Pure Luxury Tan Leather. I have several more tutorials planned using this technique with the Spellbinders dies and GC to make boxes and bags, so stayed tuned over the next month or so.
It's VSN weekend at SCS starting Friday! I'll be hosting a challenge on Saturday.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!

Gable Bunny Box
Hello! Here is the tutorial for the gable bunny box I showed last week. I meant to get this up yesterday, but I was lazy! I used images from Melanie's new Basket Blessing set.
.
To make the box, I started by cutting a piece of card stock to 6.5 inches by 11 inches. Then score on the long side at 1.5 inches and 3.5 inches.
Rotate the card stock and score at 1.5 inches, 5 inches and 6.5 inches.
Fold and crease on the score lines and then make the cuts shown in the picture. You can click on the images to see them bigger. Remove the sections as indicated in the photo.
Next, I stamped the small daffodil image, from Basket Blessings, repeatedly using Memento Pear Tart.
I used a Spellbinders Labels 9 die to shape the handles. I slid the die onto the card stock. You may need to trim a tiny bit since it is a snug fit. I slid the widest part of the die to one inch above the score line, then ran it through my Grand Calibur, to trim. Then I did the other handle, being careful to keep it one inch above the score line also.
Here you can see after I trimmed the handles. Next, add Scor-tape, or another sturdy adhesive to the side and adhere.
Fold in the bottom flaps and adhere.
I lined up the two shaped handles and cut holes for the ribbon, using a hole punch.
The box is 3.5 wide by 1.5 deep by 2 inches high, with the handles extending above. I was able to fit two of those sweet Cadberry Creme Eggs inside.
To decorate, I stamped the bunnies, from Basket Blessings, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I used Copic markers, R81 and R02 for the inside of the ears.
I filled in with YR000.
Added E51 to shade.
Added E31.
Then deepened the shading with E33. After coloring, I cut out the bunnies.
I sponged the background starting with Memento Bamboo Leaves.
Then sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink.
Sponged Memento Rose Bud, lightly over the Cantaloupe.
Made some whispy grass using my YG05.
I layered the background with Pure Luxury Passionate pinks. The base is Pure Luxury Cream De Menthe.
Thank you for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Pink Froggie
Hello and happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. There is a new sketch challenge posted at StampTV and this is my card for it. I used images from my new set, Little Critters.
Here is the sketch this week. I hope you'll play along. One random participant will win a free stamp set from Gina K Designs.
I started sponging my background, with Memento New Sprout ink, from the bottom.
Then sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves.
In the center, I sponged Memento Cantaloupe.
Then, from the top, I sponged Memento Angel Pink.
Then some Memento Tangelo.
I used the silhouette fern, from Little Critters and stamped using Memento Bamboo Leaves. I stamped twice before re-inking each time, to make some fainter images, too.
I cut the background into thirds.
I used Copics to color the frog, starting with YR000 on the belly.
Added a little shading with YR12.
Filled in the rest of the frog with RV81.
Added shading with RV23.
Deepened the shading with RV25 and used YG23 for the eyes.
Added Y23.
Then filled in with Y000. I also added a touch of YR02 around the edges.
On the underside and stem, I used YR000.
Then shaded with YR02.
I layered the panels with Pure Luxury Passionate Pink and used a Creme de Menthe card base.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!
