Spring Birthday Wishes

Happy Weekend! I hope you are having a good start to your weekend. Today is a big day for us. We are getting ready for a kitchen remodel and today we still start some of the prep work, in anticipation of our cabinets arriving. We need to move a wall and change the location of the refrigerator and stove, so there is quite a big to get done before our cabinets come.

Now on to my card. I played along with the Copic Creations challenge, to color flowers. You can find the challenge here.

I stamped the fawn, from Sending Sunshine, with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics, starting with E51.

Used E39 in the darkest areas.

Blended out from there with E35.

Blended out from there with E53.

I used my blender pen to bring back some highlights and smooth the color transition. Then I added N5 to the nose and feet and N1 to the muzzle. After coloring I cut out the image.

On a piece of Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock, I stamped the daffodils, from Sending sunshine, on the right, then used a post-it note to mask off an area and stamped again. I did it that way because I knew I wanted that cluster of flowers to be at a different height and didn't want the bottom of the daffodil image to show beneath the fawn after I adhered it.

To color the flowers, I used Y17 around the edges.

Then filled in with Y000. Sorry, I missed a picture at this point, but I think I used YG03 on the foliage.

Cut out the image with oval Nestabilities, then sponged Memento Desert Sand ink, while still in the die.

Then sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink. After sponging, I used YG03 and YG91 to added some shading and grass to the ground (sorry, not pictured either).

For the background, I stamped the branch, from Hang in There, with Memento Desert Sand ink.

Used E35 to add some shading.

Added E31 to blend.

I layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and used a Sweet Corn cardbase. The sentiment is from Sending Sunshine.

Thanks for visiting. I hope your day is filled with sunshine!
