The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop!!! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of deeply etched, pre-cut Gina K. Designs stamps! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops!Hey there! Today the GKD Design Team are blog hopping with inspiration from our newest stamp release. First up is a set I illustrated, called Country Roads. I was in the mood for a little mixed media, so I created this card using wood veneer paper, layered with a small piece of Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown, cut with Spellbinders™Fancy Lattice. I threaded some raffia in wire mesh ribbon and tied it off with a bow, before adhering in the corner. The focal layer is Pure Luxury Ivory, cut with Spellbinders Labels 26 and sponged with Memento Peanut Brittle and Rich Cocoa inks. All the images are from Country Roads and that beautiful autumn pattern paper is from the new Sun Kissed Autumn patterned paper pack.
Next up is Melanie Muenchinger's Basket Additions 3. There are some really fun images in this set that will be perfect for so many occasions. I'm crazy for the fun Halloween ghoulish friends. Melanie designed this set to go with her basket sets, making them so versatile and expanding all the wonderful ways to use those sets. I wanted to show you that you can use the images on their own, too. On this card, I stamped the Halloween image twice to make a fun, spooky border. I think this would make a great border scrapbooking Halloween photos.
Using the same image, I created another look, this time separating the images into their own frames. I have some coloring photos below, but first, be sure to check out the following designer links for more inspiration...

To color the skeleton, I use W3 and my blender pen.
Oh his hat, I started with YR07.
Added YR04.
Then filled in with Y17. For the stem, I used YG95.
Then filled in with YG91. After coloring, I cut out the skeleton.
For the pumpkin hat, I started with BV00.
Then added N3.
Add N5.
Added N7.
I used YG23 for the band on the hat.
Then 100 on the buckle. For the pumpkin, I started with YG07.
Added YG04.
Then filled in with Y17. For the eyes, I used Y13 and W3 to add a bit more shading under the hat. After coloring, I cut it out.
I cut circles using Spellbinders Standard Circles, layering with Pure Luxury White and Black Onyx. The sentiment was stamped on white and layered with Pure Luxury Vibrant Purple. The 5 ½ by 4 ¼ inches is Pure Luxury Lovely Lavender. I embossed a frame using the second largest of the Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics B and added some bling.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
