To begin, I cut a piece of Pure Luxury White card stock using a A2 Matting Basics B die template from the new Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® Card Creator line. Next, I stamped the larger tree, from Country Roads, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I stamped the tree again on a sticky note and cut it out to create a mask. Then I masked the first tree and stamped the second, smaller tree, again with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Using Copics to color, I began by filling in the foliage with Y35.
Added dots using YR14.
More dots with R05.
More dots with E35 and also used it to fill in the trunks.
Added shading to the trunks with E57.
I cut a curvy line on a sticky note and used it to mask the background, then sponged a bit of Memento Pistachio ink.
I removed the mask and sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink, while still in the die template.
I used my W3 Copic to add a shadow under the trees.
Added W5 to deepen the shadow right at the base of the trees.
I matted with a piece of Pure Luxury Black Onyx and a larger piece of Kraft. I used another of the A2 Matting die templates to emboss a frame on the Kraft layer. The card base is Pure Luxury White, 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inches. I stamped the sentiment on vellum and wrapped it around the kraft layer, adhering on the back.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
