Hello! It's the second day of our Gina K new release blog hops. Today we have two more new sets to feature. First is Tropical Nature, which I illustrated. Many of you have asked for a follow up to one of my most popular sets ever, Aloha, so I designed this set to compliment that one. More details about this card below.
Next up is a super elegant and trendy set from Becky Oehlers, called I Do. You'll be able to make anything from cute and whimsical to classically elegant cards with this beautiful new stamp set! I heat embossed the bride and groom silhouette images on Gina K Silver Lining metallic card stock and cut using Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® Labels Four. I layered with Pure Luxury White and Black Onyx and added some of that fun mesh ribbon I love.

To begin the Tropical Nature card, I stamped the palm trees on a 5 ½ by 4 ¼ inch, Pure Luxury White card base, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I began my coloring with a YG95 Copic marker.
Added YG97 at the center of the fronds to shade.
Used E29 on the trunks.
Next, I stamped the parrot with Memento Tuxedo Black and started coloring with Y13.
Added YG03.
Added YG95.
Added B00 to the wing tips.
Then added B24.
I added a bit of R05 to the wings and tail, then added N5 to the beak.
I cut a wavy line in sticky notes to mask the bottom of the card, then sponged Memento Summer Sky ink. It's very faint in the photo, but in person this looks darker.
Then I used more sticky notes to mask the sky and sponged Memento Danube Blue.
Then sponged Memento Teal Zeal.
Here is what it looked like after removing the mask.
Then I masked the water, so I could sponge the sandy beach. I used Memento Desert Sand to sponge.
Then sponged a bit of Memento Toffee Crunch.
I removed the mask and finished up the coloring at the base of the trees with E33.
Then I added some shadows behind the trees with W3.
Added some texture to the sand by making dots with my London Fog and Desert Sand Memento Markers.
Added some waves with B02 and an opaque white gel pen.
Then I stamped the sentiment in the corner to finish up.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day!
