Hello! This week the Gina K Designs Design Team are blog hopping with inspiration from all our newly release stamp sets. First up is my card above using Melanie Muenchinger's fabulous new Pretty Patterns stamp set. You are going to love all the creative ways you can use this set. The first thing I though of when I saw it was how quick and easy it would be to make my own Washi inspired (faux) tape using paper scraps! I'll show you how I did it below.

Next up is Tami Mayberry's gorgeous new set, Grand Tags. I love the elegant images in this set and they fit Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® Labels Twenty-Two! I sponged Memento Grape Jelly ink on white card stock, then stamped the labels image and trimmed around the outside lines. For the center, I stamped the sentiment, also from Grand Tags and cut it out with my Spellbinders Classic Circles die template. I sponged lightly with Memento Grape Jelly ink, while still in the die template, then stamped the dragonfly (from Follow Your Dreams), also with Grape Jelly, but stamped off on scratch paper first to make the image lighter. I added a band of Parisan Garden designer paper and some branches cut with Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms. The card base is Pure Luxury Sandy Beach.

To make my faux Washi tape, I grabbed some scraps I have laying around. I always seem to have a bunch of these narrow bands of card stock and pattern paper.

I stamped four of the border images from Pretty Patterns using Memento inks. The top was with Memento Morocco on Pure Luxury Just Peachy, next was Memento Peanut Brittle on a piece of designer paper, then the chevron pattern with Memento  Rose Bud on Bubblegum Pink and finally, Memento Blue on Ocean Mist card stock. Don't you just love that chevron pattern?

My card base is Pure Luxury Kraft and sized at 5 ½ by 4 ¼ inches. I stamped another of the patterns using Memento Rich Cocoa, but I stamped off the image on scratch paper first to make it lighter.

I tore the faux Washi tape into pieces and adhered to my card base. I only used two of the patterns on this card, so I have the other two ready to go for another project.

I added the vertical sentiment (from Mountain Wilderness) and some bakers twin with a button to embellish. This was so fast and fun to make!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
