Hello there. I am really behind in making Christmas cards, so I pulled out Celebrate the Season to make this card.
I started by making a 5 1/2 by 4 1/2 inch card base from Pure Luxury white card stock. Then I masked off the bottom 1 3/8 inch, using sticky notes, and sponged Memento Danube Blue ink.
I cut some curves on sticky notes to mask off a little higher and sponged again, , to create a snowbank.
Re-positioned the sticky notes to create another snowbank.
Re-positioned again for another snowbank.
I used the same mask to stamp the trees, from Follow Your Dreams, stamped with Memento Bamboo Leaves.
I stamped the trees a few more times, then stamped along the most distant snowbank, without re-inking so the trees would appear lighter and thus further away.
I stamped the snowman, from Celebrate The Season, and colored with Copics, starting with C1.
Added C3.
Then added BV11 to deepen the shading.
For the nose, I used YR07 and for the arms, I used E57.
Started shading the hat with N7.
Added N5.
Added N3.
For the scarf, I started with R9.
Added R24.
Then used R22.
I stamped the greeting on the front of the card base. I knew I wanted to add score lines, so I held the card up to light and made a few faint pencil lines on the inside, so I would know where to end my score lines before running them into the sentiment. I used my Scor-buddy to score a few lines.
Back on the front side, I used C1 and BV00 to add some cast shadows to the threes.
I cut out the snowman and adhered him to the card base.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.
I am just speechless. That is stunning, absolutely stunning.
