Happy Friday! I was busy vacation planning yesterday, so I was inspired to pull out my Aloha stamp set and make this card.
I cut a piece of Pure Luxury white card stock to 4 by 4 inches, then sponged some Memento Cantaloupe ink where I wanted the sun.
I masked over the sun with a 1 inch circle, cut using Nestabilities. Then I sponged more Cantaloupe ink.
Then I sponged Memento Angel Pink ink around the yellow.
Sponged a band of Memento Lulu Lavender above and below the pink.
Sponged Memento Summer Sky ink at the top.
Deepened the color of the sky by sponging a lightly with Memento Danube Blue.
I masked the bottom with sticky notes and sponged lightly with Danube Blue to create the horizon line.
Sponged above the blue, very lightly with Memento Rose Bud. This time I used the smaller sponge daubers to keep the horizon from getting too bulky.
Removed the mask and stamped the palm trees, from Aloha, with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I used Copic markers to color, starting with YG97.
Added YG99 to deepen the shading at the base of each stem.
Started with E59 on the trunks.
I stamped the palm fronds, from Vogue Vases, using Memento Bamboo Leaves ink.
Then I stamped the seagulls, from By The Sea, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onxy and used Pure Luxury Ocean Mist for the card base. The finished card size is 5 by 5 inches.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I love love love your creations. Can you share how you finish the interiors of your non-white or ivory cards? I am new, and might as well ask someone at the top of the cardmaking ladder and see if you might answer me :)

and I'm at GinaK too - thanks Theresa!
Is the Aloha stamp set, with the palm trees, still available. I couldn't seem to find it. Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl. The Aloha stamp set will out out of stock for a few more months. I need to redesign it for production as a clear set and I think we should be able to get it back in stock before summer.
