Strength and Hope

Hello! Tonight is the new release for Gina K Designs and here is a peak at my new stamp set, Strength and Hope. The release party is at StampTV tonight from 7 to 9 pm Central and immediately following the party, all the new stamps and products will become available in the online store.

To begin, I stamped the lily/ribbon image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers, starting with RV19.

Added RV25.

Added RV23.

Then filled in with R81.

For the flowers I started with YR02.

Added YR000.

Added RV23 to the base of the petals.

Then added a tiny bit of RV25 at the base of the petals. I also added some "freckles" with the same marker by just barely touching the tip of the marker to the petals.

I added a drop shadow to the image using C3.

Used oval Nestabilities to cut out the image, then sponged around the edges with Memento Angel Pink.

Then I sponged very lightly with Memento Rose Bud ink. I actually didn't ind up my sponge dauber, but instead used the residual ink left of the sponge from previous use.

For the embossed background, I cut a piece of Pure Luxury White card stock to 2 3/4 by 5 1/2 inches. I placed it on my Scor-Pal at an angle and scored every 1/2 inch. Then I rotated the paper 180 degrees and scored every 1/2 inch again, creating the harlequin pattern.

After scoring, I turned over the card stock and sponged on the raised side using Memento Angel Pink ink. Next, I sponged very lightly with Memento Rose Bud.  (sorry, I didn't get a photo of that step).

I layered with Pure Luxury Passionate Pink and used Innocent Pink to create my 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 inch card base. The sentiment is stamped directly on the card base. I used Pop Dots to adhere the layers to the card base.

I also used my Star Dust Glitter pen  to add some sparkle to the flowers. You can't see it well in the other photos, but you can see it a bit in this close up.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!

Products I used on this card... (sorry the Strength and Hope stamp set isn't listed, but will be available later tonight from Gina K Designs)
