Hello! Today the Gina K Design Team are featuring two new stamp sets from this month's release. First up in a new set I illustrated, called Strength and Hope. I had been wanting to draw this set in support of so many in our stamping community that have been diagnosed with cancer, or had cancer affect members of their families. When our own DT member, AJ was diagnosed with breast cancer recently, I went right to work on it. This set is very special to me because it is inspired by so many of our stamping friends. I drawing the images when my dog, Pebbles, died from cancer. I will be donating all my proceeds from Strength and Hope, during the first month of sales, to the American Cancer Society.
Next up is a gorgeous new set, from Melanie Muenchinger, called Basket Additions. Melanie has designed a great set of images to "fill" her baskets, from Holiday Basket and Spring Basket. What a great way to expand the possibilities of your basket sets. I used the harvest image, from Basket Additions and the longaberger basket, from Holiday Basket. I colored with Copics and cut out the images. The background was sponged and embossed with my Swiss Dots embossing folder, then adhered the image with Pop Dots.

To start my first card, I stamped the butterfly using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored with Copics. I began with RV29.
Added RV25.
Added RV23. I missed a picture after this one, but filled in the wings with RV21. I cut out the image and set aside.
For the background I sponged Memento Angel Pink.
Then sponged with Memento Angel Pink.
Then I stamped the tree with Memento Rose Bud.
Stamped it a second time, with Memento Tuxed Black. I didn't use a stamp positioner because I wanted the black tree to be offset just a tad, creating the look of a drop shadow.
I layered with Pure Luxury Passionate Pink, Black Onyx and White. I used Spellbinders Big Scallop Border to cut the scallop layer and used Pop Dots to adhere the butterfly. I also added Cystal Lacquer on the ribbon body of the butterfly. The card base is Innocent Pink and 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great weekend.
