Hello! It's the second day of inspiration blog hops for Gina K Designs. Today the team are featuring projects using Celebrate the Season and Home Is. First up is Celebrate the Season, illustrated by me. I started planning this set as soon as I finished The Giving Tree last year. I wanted to do a branch set, with accessories that would work with either set. Most of the smaller images in both, The Giving Tree and Celebrate the Season, will work will the other. More details about this card below.
Next is such a fun set, by Tami Mayberry, called Home Is. The cute, whimsical images in this set will be perfect for coloring or paper piecing. I used Copics to color the house and tree trunk, then paper pieced the tree boughs using GKD's Springtime Sihouettes pattern paper. After stamping on the pattern paper and cutting out, I used Copics to add some shading. I used a Pure Luxury White card base and sponged a gentle hill, then adhered the images using Pop Dots. I stamped the sentiment, then used my Scor-Pal to score two lines to border it.

I added YR04.
Filled in with Y11.
I stamped and colored a second, smaller butterfly and cut both out with my Cutterbee Scissors.
Sponged lightly in the center with Memento Cantaloupe ink and sponged lightly at the top with Memento Paris Dusk.
I sponged at the bottom with Memento Bamboo Leaves.
I used my Memento Bamboo Leaves stamp pad to ink up the leaves of the branch, then used a Memento Rich Cocoa marker to ink up the branch.
I huffed on the stamp to re-moisten the ink, then stamped onto my background.
I stamped the butterflies and sentiment using Memento Tuxdedo Black ink. I needed to stamp the butterflies so the antenna would show up after adhering them, since I had cut those off.
Thanks for stopping by. I'll see you tomorrow for another inspiration blog hop. Have a great day!
