My first card uses images from Holiday Basket, a fabulous new set illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger. These gorgeous images all coordinate with the ever popular A Year of Flowers and her Basket series of sets.
Next is a super sweet set from Rupa Shevde called, Under The Weather. These adorable images are perfect for any kind of get well or pick-me-up card. Love that sad little bear. I will post the tutorial for this card next week.

I used Y17 to fill in the highlight.
For the petals, I started with YR07.
Then filled in with Y11.
I colored the remaining flowers the same way, then started with YG99 on the leaves.
Added YG95, leaving some highlights. After coloring with YG95, I used my blender pen to soften the highlights, but didn't get that step photographed.
I cut an oval using Nestabilities, then sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink. I stamped the sentiment, also from Holiday Basket, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The sentiment is a long one and I wanted to fit it in the oval, so I carefully snipped it between "you" & "and." I made the cut into a "V" so the two pieces would easily fit right back together for when I to use it longer.
Sorry for the blurry photo. I stamped the single sunflower using Memento Desert Sand to create a subtle look in the oval.
I cut a piece of Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown to 5.25 by 3.75 inches and then used the bleaching technique to create the pattern on the background. I folded up a paper towel, placed it on an old plastic lit and poured a small amount of bleach on it. Then I "inked up" my stamp with the bleach, stamping it in a random pattern and "re-inking" each time. You can see a video here ,by Gina, using this technique.
I layered my sunflower segments along the bottom of the oval and adhered using Pop Dots. I layered with a Pure Luxury Tan Leather scallop oval. I also layered with Pure Luxury Sweet Corn and used a Tan Leather card base. I used self adhesive nail heads in the corners.
Thanks for stopping by. We'll be back tomorrow with another fun inspiration hop. Have a wonderful day!
