Aloha! I hope you are all having a good morning. Did you see Gina is showing snippets of the new release on her blog? She also has an announcement today!
I've got another reject card to share today. I used images from Aloha and A Year of Leaves. This card is wider than the normal A2 I usually do. I think it is 6 inches wide.
I used sticky notes to make the stripes. Each stripe is about 1/2 inch, so I masked off a two inch band and just moved the bottom sticky notes up after sponging each color. First I sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink.
Moved the bottom sticky notes up 1/2 inch and sponged Memento Tangelo ink.
Moved the sticky notes again and sponged Memento Lady Bug.
Moved the sticky notes again and sponged Vivid Brick Red ink.
Removed the masks and had my striped background.
I stamped the hibiscus, from Aloha, and colored with Copics, starting with R20. I used Y15 on the stamens.
Added R22.
I added R27, working out from the center and lifting the marker to create lines. I was going for some texture, so I didn't blend.
Added R29 the same way.
I used a leaf from A Year of Leaves, stamped twice and colored with YG03. I used YG09 to shade. After coloring, I cut out the flower and leaves.
I adhered the flower and leaves, using Pop Dots and added the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
