Bright Butterfly

Hi there! I hope you are all off to a great start to your weekend. My card today is for the color challenge at StampTV.

Here is a look at my new stamp set, Warm With Love. All the images on my card are from this set.

The color combination this week is Grass Green, Sweet Mango, Wild Dandelion. On lucky participant will be randomly chosen to win a free stamp set of their choice from Gina K Designs. You can find the challenge here. 

I cut a rectangle using Rectangle Nestabilities from Spellbinders and sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink while still in the die. 

Then sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves. 

Sponged Memento Tangelo ink. 

I stamped the grass a few times, using Memento Bamboo Leaves, stamping a second time before re-inking to get a lighter impression for some of the grass. 

 I stamped the butterfly using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and filled in entirely with my Y11 Copic marker.

Added Y17 and used Y11 to blend it in. 

Next, I used YR07. Somehow the Y17 snuck into the photo and YR07 disappeared. I don't know how that happened. Must have been gremlins.  After coloring, I cut out the butterfly, trimming away his antennae and legs.

I stamped the butterfly on the background, so he would have legs and antennae, then adhered the cut out version right over the image, using Pop Dots. I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx, Sweet Mango and Wild Dandelion. The card base is Grass Green. The layer of pattern paper is from the new StampTV kit. Love the DP in this kit! The sentiment is also from Warm With Love.
