Hello! Today is my daughter's 18th birthday. Wow, how time flies! It has been a busy time with her graduation, then a big graduation party over the weekend and now her birthday. She likes clean and simple designs, so this is the card I made for her.
I used the flower from Botanicals and colored with Copics, starting with B00 on the petals and Y17 in the centers.
Added BV11.
Added BV13.
I used YG05 on the stems. I knew I was going to be clear embossing them and they are very thin, so I intentionally colored over the lines a bit, so hopefully if my Versa Mark pen went over the edges a bit, it wouldn't leave white marks after I sponged. Oh, well, so much for good intentions. If you look at the close up at the bottom of this post, you'll see I did get some white lines along the stems.
I used the Versa Mark pen to cover the entire image with Versa Mark ink so that my clear embossing powder would stick. Then I heat embossed.
Next, I sponged some Memento Cantaloupe ink, starting from the embossed image and working my way out.
I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and SU Apricot Appeal. die cut one side only of the apricot layer using my scallop rectangle Nestabilities. I'm totally into using those little paper scraps as embellishments. So fun!
Hey, did you see Lee has some great Gina K blog candy? Check out the awesome Pure Luxury color swatch she made and is including in the loot, in addition to the GKD stamp set of your choice!
Thanks for the visit. I hope your day is filled with fun and smiles!
Stunning card!
