Special Delivery

Hello Happy Stampers! Today I played along in the Featured Stamper challenge at SCS. The featured stamper today is Sumtoy. I chose this card as inspiration for my card. I changed the stamps, layout and didn't stitch on mine.

Here are the details...

I stamped the mailbox from Special Delivery (There She Goes Stamps), once on Pure Luxury cardstock and once on scratch paper. Then I used the mask on the first mail box and a piece of scratch paper placed at an angle to stamp the second. The I repeated the process to do the third image.

I used Copics to color, starting with N7.

Then I added N5.

Added N3.

Then added C3 and C1.

For the posts, I used E31, E33, E35 and E57.

For the grass I used YG03, YG93 and YG95. Not pictured were R24, R27 and R29 for the flags.

After coloring, I used my Versa Mark pen to go over the entire image, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

After embossing, I sponged the background. I used a torn piece of scratch paper as a mask and sponged Creamy Caramel.

Then sponged a bit of Chocolate Chip.

Then I removed the first mask and placed a second over the portion I had already sponged.

Sponged Certainly Celery and Old Olive.

Sponged So Saffron.

Sponged Bashful Blue.

Used a few Copics to add some dimension to the ground and some grasses.

Stamped the trees from Lovely as a Tree (Stampin' Up). I inked it with Old Olive, then stamped off once before stamping.

I stamped the trees again using Going Grey, stamped off once. The image panel was layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and Rocket Red (Gina K) and placed on a Bashful Blue (SU) cardbase.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful day!

  8. This is just ab fab. So it is imperative that we emboss the image before we sponge over it?
