Sketchy Horse

Hello! Today I played along with the Ways to Use It challenge at SCS, to use text on your projects. I had some old DP with text on it, so that is what I used to meet the challenge. This is another Father's Day card.

I used a stamp from Out West and sentiment from Special Fathers.

The horse was stamped with Memento ink, on Pure Luxury Ivory, and "colored" with graphite (i.e. a pencil). I was going for an old newspaper clipping kind of look and decided to use just a standard Ticonderoga #2 pencil. I was too lazy to pull out my good drawing pencils.

The patterned paper is from Paper Pizazz. I used a lighter to burn the edges of two sides and layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Kiss. The card base is SU Kraft. I used Shapabilities Tag dies from Spellbinders to cut the sentiment.

Thanks for visiting. I hope your day is marvelous!

  5. OMG, I LOVE this Theresa! This has to be my favorite of your horses so far...because I have always loved pencil and ink drawings and this reminds me of that! And a newspaper photo, that too, lol! I can only imagine what you could have done with the 'good' pencils..*snorts* rofl.
