Inspired Tulip

Happy Friday! Today I played along with the Timeless Tuesday Challenge from Flourishes. This week the challenge was to choose a Kim Poloson poster as inspiration. I chose this one as inspiration for my card. I also played along with the Limited Supplies challenge at SCS to use foreign language, hence the "merci" sentiment (from an retired SU set).

Here are the details...

To color the flower (from Thank You Tulips - Flourishes) I used Copic markers, R20, R22, R24, R27 and R29. I started with the darkest color at the bottom of the petals and worked lighter toward the tops.

For the leaves and stem, I used G21, YG03 and YG93. Then I cut out the tulip.

To create the background layer, I sponged So Saffron, Creamy Caramel and Chocolate Chip lightly on a piece of Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock.

Then I inked up the script stamp with Creamy Caramel, stamped off on scratch paper once, then stamped on my background paper.

I layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Kiss (Gina K), Purely Pomegranate (retired In Color from SU) on a Close to Cocoa (SU) cardbase. The top piece of patterned paper is Basic Grey Bittersweet and I can't remember who makes the bottom piece, but I bought from my local scrapbooking store.

I cut out the sentiment using Nestabilities and added some punched branches using my Martha Stewart punch.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great weekend.
