Today is my daughter's birthday and this is the card I made for her. I used the hot air balloon stamp from the Eclectic Summer StampTV kit. I have the step by step photos below and I have to warn you there are a lot of them! Sorry, it I overdid it.
I started by stamping the hot air balloon once and then masked it before stamping a second time. Then I colored using Copics, starting with V06.
Blended out from there with V15 in circular motions.
Blended V04 next.
Then added V12 in the same circular motion, skipping over the horizontal band to color later.
Added a bit of V01.
Working from the bottom, I colored with B24.
Blended out from there with B23, using circular motions.
Added B21.
Used B41 to fill in to the lavender. Then I used V01 to smooth out the transition.
Started with R27 on the second hot air balloon.
Added R24.
Added R22.
Skipped the horizontal band and added YR04.
Blended with YR12.
Added YR02.
And then Y17.
I used the Copics shown in the picture to color the baskets and the bands.
Before sponging the background I heat embossed the images with clear embossing powder. Then I sponged Almost Amethyst ink lightly over the entire surface. I punched a circle from a post-it note using my 1 1/2 inch circle punch, then placed the post-it in the lower corner and sponged lightly with Going Gray ink.
Then I removed the post-it and placed the circle I had cut out over the spot I had sponged with Going Gray. I then sponged more Almost Amethyst and Lavender Lace.
Sponged Ballet Blue ink.
Sponged a bit of Not Quite Navy at the top.
Then I removed the circle and stamped some tree tops, with Basic Black ink, using a stamp from Tree Silhouettes.
I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and White and used a Lavender Lace card base.
Now, I need to go make her favorite desert, Mocha Chocolate Chip Cheesecake. Yum!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope your day is sweet!
