Gina K Preview Day 2 - Home Tweet Home and Tropical Flowers

Home Tweet Home by Rupa Shevde

Check out Rupa Shevde's latest stamp set, Home Tweet Home! These are super fun images and there are all kinds of ways to combine them.

I stamped the small branch three times on Gina's Pure Luxury 80 lb card stock, colored them with Copics and embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I sponged the background.

I stamped the birdhouse and bird on a branch on another piece of card stock and colored those with Copics also. Then I cut them out and placed them on the background.

I sponged the Sateen Flowers with Summer Sun ink. I wanted them to be a little darker in the center, so I took a blending stump and touched it to my Pumpkin Pie ink pad and then rubbed a bit in the center of each petal.

Have you been following the Paper Craft Planet's 12 Days of Christmas challenges? This is c ard is also my submission for today, Day 12, and is sponsored by Gina. Tropical Flowers
by Gina Krupsky

This is the second set I am previewing today and I absolutely love it! I wish I could have gotten a better picture. This one came out yellow and the card is very pink/red and, actually looks a quite Christmassy.

I stamped and each image with black Stazon, embossing with clear after each so the powder would stick before the ink was dry. Then I sponged the background with a Regal Rose, Ruby Rose and Real Red and just a touch of So Saffron in the center. Then I added some highlights to the leaves using a white gel pen.

I am going to have a lot of fun combining this set with some of my other Gina K stamp sets. I should have another card or two using Tropical Flowers to share during the release party on Thursday.
