Gina K Preview Day 1 - Framed Friends

Yay! I am so excited to be taking part in my first release preview as a DT member for Gina K! This card features images from Asela Hopkin's newest stamp set called Framed Friends. Aren't these images the cutest! This set is going to be fantastic for so many occasions.

I thought the dog and cat just had to be together on a card, so I cut the dog out of his frame and positioned him to be looking up at the cat. Check out the tags on their collars. They are hearts! Love it!

The images were stamped on the new 80 lb Pure Luxury card stock, using Momento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copics, and then cut out.

I don't have rectangle nestabilities, but I do have a Marvy Giga square scallop punch, which I used to create a scalloped layer behind the cat. To make it rectangular, I just cut it in half and over lapped on scallop, using a bit of adhesive. It fit the image perfectly and you can't even tell that it isn't one piece.

Be sure to visit the rest of the design team for more peeks at Framed Friends.

  2. Ooooh a kitty stamp! I love A's stamp sets and can't wait to see more. The background paper is very cute with the XOs - is that part of the DP or stamps from the new set?

  19. so cute! who says dogs & cats can't live in harmony? it's only when one of our cats gets too close to our dog who is guarding her chewy that she gets an attitude. otherwise they hang out side by side (maybe it's because we threaten them to get along, j/k)
