Coffee and Cookies

Hello and Happy Weekend. I've had a yucky cold all week, but it is finally starting to get a bit better. I meant to get this card posted last night, but my poor fevered brain just couldn't manage it.

I made this for my husband's birthday, which was yesterday. He loves his morning Mocha and loves to dunk his cookies in coffee, so I combined two sets from Gina's last release. My Cuppa Joe was illustrated by Rupa Shevde and Have a Cookie was illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger.

I colored all the images with Koh-i-noor pencils and blended with OMS (odorless mineral spirits). The background is sponged. The vertical panel on the left is cut from a coffee sleeve from Starbucks.

For the large blue layer, I stamped the snowflakes from Funky Christmas, in Versa Mark and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I sponged in the blue. The sentiment is from Just So Sporty.

Amazing new stamp storage system!

Have you seen this post by Gina? She previewed the wonderful new storage system that will be available in her store after the release this coming week! I love this new storage system! It is exactly what I have been looking for to store my unmounted stamps. Also, be sure to check out this post by Melanie, to hear what she has to say about it.

Blog Candy!

Asela is having a blog candy contest on her blog and giving away her new set! You are going to love it!

Have a great day!
