Here is a look at The Northwoods 2.
Start by cutting and embossing white cardstock using Spellbinders® Oval Nestabilities. With the die cut still in the die template, sponge around the edges using Gina K Powder Blue ink, mainly toward the top.
Switch to Gina K Ocean Mist and continue sponging along the bottom.
Remove the die cut from the die template and stamp the weeping willow image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Begin coloring some of the darker areas under the tree using Copic marker YG97.
Switch to YG95 and blend out from the previous color, also adding color to the tree foliage.
Fill in the remaining area under the tree and foliage using YG25.
The green under the tree was still a little brighter than I wanted, so I wend over that area with YG93 to tone it down a bit.
For the tree trunk, using E37 to shade, then fill in with E31. Use the blender pen to push in some lighter areas to the ground.
Use B02 and B23 to add some color to the water.
Trim Gina K London Fog cardstock to 3 ½ to 4 ½ inches and layer with a piece of Black Onyx, trimmed slightly larger. Stamp the sentiment at the lower, right corner. Tie silver cord around the layers. Use self adhesive foam squares to adhere the oval to the layers and then adhere all the layers to a 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inch white card base.
Thank you for visiting. I hope you have a great day!

ReplyDeleteAnother amazing, gorgeous set, Theresa! And the card / tutorial are so beautiful and easy to follow along. Ahhhh - you must get a lot of inspiration from the hiking and trips you take around the mountains there. So sweet!!!!

ReplyDeleteI really like your blue moonrise and wispy willow cards. The pink moonrise is also pretty, but since I have never been much of a "pink girl" . . .
