Hello and welcome to another inspiration blog hop from Gina K Designs. Today we are featuring my latest stamp set, The Northwoods 2 and Gina's new StampTV Kit, Birthday Essentials.
I thought it would be fun to make two cards almost identically, changing out the color and stamp images from The Northwoods 2. I have videos for both cards. On this first one, I used a monochromatic blue palate and the evergreen fir trees with the bear.
On this card I used a pink palette and the oak tree. The layout is the same and I masked the same way in pretty much the same places, but I used a bigger circle for the moon in this card. And I kept the horizon line more level instead of hilly. You can find both videos a bit lower on this post.
I also have a card made using images from one of the stamp sets in the Birthday Essentials StampTV Kit. I love that the new kit has matching dies. I used the coordinating butterfly stamp and die template on this card.
For more inspiration from the rest of the Gina K Team, be sure to check out the rest of the blog...

If you prefer to watch directly at Youtube, you can find both videos on my channel here.
I have step by step photos for the pink card below, but I'm afraid I don't have step outs for the blue card.
Start by trimming a piece of white cardstock to 3 ¼ by 4 ½ inches. Place a circle slightly above center to serve as a mask for the moon. Sponge all around using Gina K Bubblegum Pink ink.
Switch to Gina K Pink Passion ink and continue sponging.
Remove the mask and stamp the oak tree, from The Northwoods stamp set, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Use scissors to trim a slightly wavy link in sticky notes to mask the sky. Sponge along the mask edge.
Switch to Memento Tuxedo Black ink and continue sponging, but, be sure to tap off most of the excess ink onto scratch paper, to create gray rather than black on the card.
Color in the tree trunk and shade the foliage of the tree with Copic Marker N5.
Switch to N2 and fill in the foliage. Use this marker to also add some shading below the tree. Use a blender pen to soften the look of the shading.
Use a bit more Tuxedo Black ink to sponge around the edges of the cardstock. Once again, be careful to tap off the excess ink.
Stamp the sentiment, from the Birthday Essentials StampTV Kit, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Layer with a piece of Gina K Black Onyx cardstock and adhere to a 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inch Bubblegum Pink card base.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
