Gina K Inspiration Blog Hop Day 1

Hello! Gina K Designs has just released new stamps and new ink colors last week and now the team is blog hopping to give you ideas with all the new stamps and supplies. My first card is with Melanie's Pretty Patterns 2, which is a follow up to the popular Pretty Patterns stamp set. When I used the chevron on the card below to create a stylized ocean scene, I forgot to snap photos, so I made another one to show you the new ink colors I used. The other images on this card are from my new set, By The Sea 2 (which will be featured later this week).

Here is the card I made that inspired the card above. I really like the simplicity of this card. It's amazing all the different backgrounds you can create with Pretty Patterns 2. The possibilities are endless! This card also has a few images from By The Sea 2.

And next is a gorgeous stamp set by Becky Oehlers, called Big Blooms. I love the enormous flowers in this set! I remembered to snap photos of this one and will post the tutorial next week.

Be sure to visit all the blogs on the list for more inspiration and a chance to win something fabulous from Gina K!

To begin, I cut and embossed Pure Luxury card stock using Spellbinders™ A2 Matting Basics A and sponged Gina K Powder Blue, while still in the die template.

I removed the card stock from the die template and used sticky notes to mask the edges. Then I stamped the chevron, from Pretty Patterns 2, using Gina K Ocean Mist ink.

Then stamped using Gina K Turquoise Sea ink

Then stamped again using Gina K Blue Raspberry.

For the seagulls, I inked with Gina K Black Onyx, stamped off on scratch paper to make it lighter, then stamped on my background.

The sentiment was stamped on a small strip of white card stock, using Gina K Black Onyx, then I stamped one of the small Pretty Patterns 2 images (diamond) using Gina K Ocean Mist, on either side of the sentiment. I just love accenting the sentiment this way! .

Next I stamped the lighthouse using Memento Tuxedo Black. I began coloring with Y17 for he light and BV000 for the shadows.

Then added deeper shaing with BV000. After coloring, I cut out the lighthouse.

The sentiment layer and lighthouse were popped up using foam squares. I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and used Ocean Mist for the card base. (5 ½ by 4 ¼)

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you day is wonderful!

  23. There is some great anti-virus and security software for Android
and many address the two issues in one. Samsung, the New York Times, is reporting,
is set to offer for sale the Samsung Galaxy S IV which will offer automatic scrolling by monitoring eye movements.
The design of the phone with slightly round configuration
makes it common to the looks of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
