By The Sea 2 Sneak Peek and Tutorial

Hello! It's sneak peek time at Gina K Designs and today she is showing little snippets from mine, Melanie's and Beth's new stamp sets, so I made a card to peek a few more images from my new set. It's called By The Sea 2 and is a follow up to one of my most popular sets ever. This and all the new stamp sets will be available from the Gina K online store starting Thursday at 7pm Central.
Here is the snippet Gina is showing on her blog. Be sure to go visit to see snippets from two more sets. And you can see a project by Melanie, on her blog and one by Beth, on her blog.

I started with a piece of Pure Luxury White cardstock, cut to 4 ¼ by 3 ½ inches, then I masked off the bottom with sticky notes and sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink.

Sponged Memento Tangelo ink.

Then I removed the mask and sponged Memento Angel Pink at the top and bottom.

Sponged Memento Lulu Lavender at the top and bottom.

Next, I masked the top, and sponged Memento Grape Jelly.

I removed the mask and stamped the pier silhouette using a brand new Gina K ink color Black Onyx! This new color is such a rich, dark black. I love it! The new black along with 7 other new colors will be available on Thursday.

Next, I added some water ripples using an opaque white gel pen.

Then I used my BV000 Copic marker to add some clouds and rough in a shadow under the pier.

Then used a BV00 Copic to deepen the shading on the clouds and the shadow under the pier.

Then C5 to make the pier shadow just a tad darker right where it meets the water.

I stamped the three seagulls using Memento Espresso Truffle.

Then adhered the scene to a Pure Luxury Smokey Slate card base (4 ¼ by 5 ½ inches). The sentiment is also from By The Sea 2 and is stamped on strip of white, using Gina K Black Onyx ink. I added two brads to embellish.

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to tune in to Gina's blog all week for more sneak peeks and details about the release party on Thursday! I hope you have a wonderful day!
