Moonlit Lighthouse Tutorial

Hey there stampers! I hope everyone is doing well. Today I have a card made with By The Sea.

I cut Pure Luxury White card stock to 3½  by 4 ¾  inches. I used Spellbinders™Classic Circles Nestabilities® to cut a circle mask for the moon, then sponged Memento Summer Sky ink.

Then sponged Memento Danube Blue.

Sponged Memento Lulu Lavender ink.

Then I removed the moon mask and used the negative to mask around it and sponged lightly with my Tuxedo Black Sponge Dauber, just using the residual ink left on the dauber from the last time I used it.

Sponged more Danube Blue and used a B93 Copic marker to add some texture to the moon.

I cut two masks to cover the top and bottom and sponged more Memento Lulu Lavender.

Reshaped the masks and sponged Memento Grape Jelly.

I reshaped the masks again and sponged Memento Paris Dusk.

I removed the masks, then tore paper to make a new mask, exposing just the bottom of the card stock. I sponged with Memento Paris Dusk.

Then sponged a bit of Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I only wanted to ink up a portion of my lighthouse stamp, so I used clear tape to cover the parts I didn't want ink on, before inking with Memento Tuxedo Black.

Then stamped the image.

To color the lighthouse, I began by filling in with BV13.

Added N7.

Added N5.

Then filled in with N3.

At the top, I used V12, then Y17 for the light. I added a spot of opaque white gel to the light.

Stamped some grass using Memento Paris Dusk.

For the sentiment, I again only wanted to ink up a portion of the stamp. So I masked part off with clear taped and inked it up.

Here you can see after I removed the tape. I'm terrible at controlling the ink pad to just ink a section, so using the tape keeps me from messing up.

I added some piercing to two corners and layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx. The 5 ½ by 4 ¼ card base is Pure Luxury Powder Blue.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!
