Hello! I have another Elegant Florals card to share today. Before I get to the tutorial, I want to let you know that the next Gina K Designs release is coming up soon. Sneak peeks have begun on Gina's blog. I'll be sharing a sneak peek card of my upcoming set this weekend. Also, Spellbinders has begun the Blog Frenzy for the new Winter CHA line up. Be sure to check that out, too!
To make the background for my card, I began by sponging Memento Summer Sky ink on Pure Luxury White card stock.
Then sponged Memento Danube Blue.
Then sponged Memento Paris Dusk.
Then stamped the same image with Paris Dusk, but stamped off on scratch paper to make the images appear lighter.
I set the background aside and stamped the calla lily image on white card stock, using my BV000 Copic marker to begin coloring.
Added BV00.
Then added BV13. I forgot to get it into a photo, but I used Y15 on the stamin.
For the stem, I used YG95 and N3. After coloring, I cut out the flower, then colored and cut out a second flower.
The card base is 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inches using Pure Luxury Denim Blue card stock. I love this new blue from Gina K! I embossed a frame using Spellbinders™ A2 Matting Basics A on the card base. Then I layered the background with Pure Luxury Black Onyx. The sentiment was cut out using Spellbinders Fancy Tags 2 and sponged with Memento Summer Sky ink while still in the die template. The flowers and sentiment were adhered using Pop Dots.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
